Hey, Flex and Fuel fam! I’m Coach Heather. I want to help you integrate fitness and nutrition into your life to fuel your best self! Everyone comes to coaching for different reasons, and I want to hear yours and be your accountability partner/cheerleader along the way.
I discovered a love for fitness and nutrition after navigating a wellness journey of my own. In 2019, I reached my heaviest weight, got short of breath from climbing stairs, none of my clothes fit, and I used food to feed my feelings. I decided to change my habits and wanted to do it the “right” way — no quick fixes, no fad diets, no detoxes or fat burners (trust me, I had already tried all that and it didn’t work). I integrated strength training into my life through workouts at home in my living room (I was far too intimidated in a gym), and I learned how to better fuel my body through proper portions and nutritious foods. I lost 80 pounds, then worked on getting stronger and building muscle. In the process, I found my confidence again and an unexpected passion for fitness and nutrition!
When I’m not coaching, personal training, or teaching fitness classes, I’m working as Director of Development and Communications for a nonprofit in Washington, DC called Equal Justice Under Law. Fighting for justice by day and fighting for health ‘round the clock!
